Dr. Kim Killu earned her B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University, her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and her Ph.D. in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from The Ohio State University. She has a limited license to practice as a psychologist in the State of Michigan and is also a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Killu has worked with the full spectrum of disability categories in a variety of clinical and educational settings. She currently teaches in the Special Education Program in the School of Education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Dr. Killu teaches a variety of courses related to emotional impairments and special education, including Introduction to Emotional Impairments, Psychiatric Practicum, Eco-Behavioral Assessment, Strategies: Emotional Impairments, Special Education Legislation & Litigation, Emotional Impairments Internship, Social-Vocational Transitions, and Classroom Behavior Management. Her interests focus on the assessment and treatment of individuals with severe behavior disorders, community inclusion, social and instructional strategies for individuals with behavior disorders, and Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Planning policy/practice.
