Master of Education and Emotional Impairments Endorsement

Overview:

The Master of Education in Special Education degree with the Emotional Impairments Endorsement is for general education teachers who wish earn a master's degree and an endorsement to teach students with emotional impairments. The master's with the EI endorsement is a local program that requires students to complete courses on campus and internships in the Dearborn, Michigan area. Students must complete the program and pass the MTTC-EI test to be recommended for the Michigan, EI endorsement.

Credit Hours:

This program has a minimum requirement of 30 semester hours.

Application Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Master of Education in Special Education Program, applicants must submit:

  • A completed application      Print and Complete

  • 2 letters of recommendation   Print and Complete Two Letters of Recommendation

  • A copy of the applicant’s Michigan teaching certificate

  • Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended

  • $60 Application fee

Graduation:

For graduation: All students must obtain a Degree/Diploma Card for graduation and complete an EXIT ESSAY. Students must obtain the Degree/Diploma Card and EXIT ESSAY requirements from the Graduate Records Office.
